Yorkshire self-drive and operated hire vehicle supplier Go Plant Fleet Services has put a new sweeper into action based on an MAN TGM 18.250 chassis.
Starting work at the firm’s Barnsley depot in November, it is the first MAN sweeper to join the 500-strong sweeper fleet.
The factory-spec TGM 4x2 BB 18-tonne chassis with air suspension is powered by MAN’s D08 250hp Euro-6d engine and has the 12-speed Tipmatic fully automatic gearbox.
The vehicle, which has a 3,275mm long wheelbase and the narrow 2,240mm wide C cab, is covered by the manufacturer’s optional Municipal 5-year warranty support package.
It carries Johnston Sweepers’ VT652 body, which has a hopper and integral water tank made of heavy duty stainless steel, and houses it own auxiliary engine.
