Daf Trucks is to showcase the first right-hand drive example of its new XF at Tip-ex this week.
The 6x2 truck comes with a Super Space Cab, a 530hp MX13 engine and a ZF TraXon automated gearbox.
The revamped XF was launched alongside the new generation CF at the CV Show in April. Daf claimed it offers 7% lower fuel consumption on long-haul operations.
Further developments include an enhanced MX engine brake and a compact exhaust after treatment system (EAS), which have reduced kerb-weight by 130kg on the FTG 6x2 tractor model. The EAS is 40% smaller, allowing extra chassis space to accommodate ancillary blowing and or tipping equipment.
- There is still time to register to attend this week’s Tip-ex, which takes place at the Harrogate Convention Centre on 1-3 June.
