Pierre Lahutte has stepped down as brand president of IVECO after more than four years in the post.
Lahutte, who just last week was elected as chairman of the European Automobile Manufacturers’ Association, has worked for Iveco and its sister brands for 21 years.
In a LinkedIn post, published on Tuesday, Lahutte said: “This has been a wonderful adventure which allowed me to meet and work with passionate and enduring people. I no longer have colleagues, dealers or customers, but lots of friends, forever.”
He went on to thank numerous former colleagues, including the late Sergio Marchionne, who had been chairman of CNH Industrial, and CEO of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles.
The Frenchman continued: “I will now go back, for a while, to where I am coming from, family farming, to enjoy the operation of my New Holland TK4060M, powered by its great IVECO (FPT) engine!”
Gerrit Marx, the recently appointed president of CNH Industrial’s commercial and speciality vehicles segment, will assume Pierre Lahutte’s responsibilities.
