Waste management firm Pinden has taken delivery of 12 Volvo FE skip trucks and four FMX 8x4 tippers from MC Group of Maidstone.
The Longfield, Kent, operator's FE 4x2 rigids feature day cabs with rear windows, 12-speed I-Shift automated transmissions and are powered by the six cylinder 7.7 litre Volvo D8K engines producing 250hp.
Bodywork is by Boughton Engineering of Wolverhampton and includes the Power-Reach 18 tonne (PR18) skiploader system, which features independent telescopic lift arms, pneumatically-operated tip hooks and heavy-duty cab guards, as well as the firm’s Intacova sheeting system.
The 420hp FMX’s with day cabs feature tipper bodies by Thompsons of Croydon, a 21-tonne rear bogie design and straight front axles for enhanced ground clearance.
